As we know there are many areas in the world where vulnerable people are not getting the support they need. We can help here also.

With projects already under way in America, we can build stronger relationships with neighbouring countries. In may areas of the world, women are still being treated as second class citizens especially after divorce as a single parent family, as this piece of film demonstrates:

There is a need for this kind of support, as we have already seen, As stated recently on the West Sussex County Council website in the UK:

"Recent research shows that many people experience problems that affect their day-to-day lives, and for which there is ultimately a legal remedy. Information and advice about civil rights and responsibilities has been part of local services for many years. However, good as these services are, we know that many people are not getting the help they need. This could be either because they do not know where to go for that help, or the services are not easily accessible. The Councils say they have it covered. The same research, which shows how many people need advice, also identifies that the people who are most likely to need this help are: lone parents people who live in social housing people who live in sub-standard housing long term sick and disabled people welfare benefit recipients It also shows the kind of problems they need help with. These include debt, housing, welfare benefits, employment and community care..."

This article shows that there is a gap not just here but all over the world, and we intend to fill it...

We need to change - the world needs to change - and we need to change together...

Social workers we know get a bad press but that's simply because there are not enough of these people doing this type of job.  If we can employ more social workers we can improve the independence of people's lives.  We can raise the survival rate of abused babies and children.  We can allow the elderly and the vulnerable to stop feeling alone and allow them to live in safety and comfort.

Social housing is another concern.  Not just in the UK are people not getting access to the quality of live the have a human right for but the same seems to apply in other countries in the EU also:
